Since he was the legendary wild man of the Kinks -- the man responsible for their proto-heavy metal guitars, the battling brother of Ray -- it's been easy to pigeonhole Dave Davies as just a hard rocker but anybody who paid close attention to his solo work would know that he has a spiritual, even mystical, dimension to his music which shines through clearly on this classic Dave Davies album.
Originally released in 2007, Fractured Mindz was Dave’s first release after a stroke several years earlier -- a musical journey with The Kinks' guitarist with stops for fame and fortune, sibling rivalry and stroke recovery. First time on vinyl! 2XLP with etching on 4th side.

In 1992, Dave Davies and Gerry Goffin wrote "21st Century" together at a coffee shop in Los Angeles. It is a song about the then-upcoming new millennium, but eerily, the lyrics could have been written today. This RSD Black Friday 7” single pairs a demo of “21st Century” with “Web of Time, a B-side from Davies’ 2018 album Decade.

"Parody is in safe hands with the Dead Milkmen."
-The Los Angeles Times, Metaphysical Graffiti review, 1990
The Giving Groove is proud to present the first vinyl reissue of The Dead Milkmen’s classic album Metaphysical Graffiti, now remastered with bonus material. Fans have cherished hits such as "If You Love Somebody, Set Them on Fire" and "Methodist Coloring Book," but since the Enigma label’s initial release in 1990, copies of the original pressing have become increasingly difficult to unearth. The remastered album will be offered as a limited-edition variant, pressed exclusively for Record Store Day Black Friday 2022. Housed in a gatefold jacket, bonus materials will include:
• A reproduction of the Methodist Coloring Book. Penned by Dean Clean’s wife, Melissa, the coloring book was printed as a promotional item for the 1990 release and has never been made commercially available.
• Four of the album’s songs, which the band loving refers to as “The Earls,” have been pulled from the 12” and given their own 7” vinyl (pressed on snot-colored brown and green variants) with new artwork.
• An interior jacket designed with never-before-seen photos, text about the model house that is featured on the front cover, and Dandrew’s recounting: "Everything I Needed to Know About Culture I Learned from Metaphysical Graffiti”.
• The 12” sleeve featuring the original art, lyrics, and credits.
• A QR code to download the remastered album digitally as a compliment to the vinyl.
As with all Giving Groove releases 100% of the label’s profit benefits a music-related charity. The Dead Milkmen have chosen to support Rock to the Future, a 501(c)3 organization that equips Philadelphia youth with life skills to support current and lifelong wellbeing through free, student-driven music programs.

Thanks to Foo Fighter Dave Grohl and friends, DREAM WIDOW lives.
DREAM WIDOW is the malevolent creation of Dave Grohl (handling vocals, guitar, bass and drums) and lead guitarist Jim Rota of Fireball Ministry renown. Assisted on a few tracks by keyboardists Rami Jaffee and Oliver Roman, Grohl and Rota make good on the sinister promise to blur the lines between reality and darkest fantasy.
The name and mythos of DREAM WIDOW will be familiar to those who’ve laughed and screamed watching Foo Fighters’ horror-comedy feature film, STUDIO 666. In the film, Foo Fighters attempt to record their newest album in the same house where the legendary — and fictional — DREAM WIDOW met its tragic and untimely end — with hilariously horrifying consequences.
The vinyl version of this eight song collection is a limited pressing exclusive to independent record stores for RSD Black Friday.

They are rap’s first great duo, one that excelled as rappers and producers. They are among the most-sampled rap acts of all time, their tunes having been mined by Jay-Z, DMX, 2Pac and Tha Alkaholiks, among many others. They introduced funk-styled production to rap, paving the way for Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. And even though their own rap skill was immense, they are also the best talent scouts in rap history, introducing the likes of Redman, Das EFX and Keith Murray. Then they broke up and reunited to rave reviews. The group is EPMD, undisputed legends in the rap game.
Celebrating their rich history, RBC Records releases an exclusive limited edition version of their highly respected reunion album We Mean Business, their first album on their own EP Records and their seventh overall.
“All of our albums have Business in the title,” Smith explains. “Now that we’re in a new era and the game is changed, we realize that it’s different from when we handed in a CD to our first label to being at Def Jam. Erick and I created our own vehicle to be able to drop this album. That’s how we came with the title We Mean Business, because we do.”
EPMD updates its classic sound and sentiment on “Listen Up,” a funk-drenched song complete with a talk box and featuring the one and only Mr. Teddy Riley. Recognizing EPMD’s status as pioneers, Sermon acknowledges how important his lyrics are: “Can’t talk ignorant/I got some intelligent folks that’s digging it.”
Those same folks will be digging We Mean Business song “Roc Da Spot,” a throwback of sorts to “You Gots To Chill,” one of 1988’s most acclaimed rap singles. “The beat had that EPMD sound, as far as the claps,” Sermon says. “It had a familiarity to it because of the sound and, 20 years later, we’ve still got that funk coming.”
“It’s very important for us to stay us,” Smith adds. “People want to hear and see EPMD.” That’s because We Mean Business isn’t just an album title for EPMD. It’s a mindstat

A recording of the singer/songwriter's show from a July 8, 2000, performance at the famed New York showcase club. Fronting his four-piece band, the Rough Squirrels, Forbert draws from then-recent studio records Evergreen Boy and Mission of the Crossroad Palms, and selected favorites from his first two albums, among them "Goin' Down to Laurel" and the hit "Romeo's Tune," are also included. Forbert's earnest, wry lyrics, which he sings in a rusty, expressive tenor, shine throughout.
