Digitally remastered edition. Something Else Again was Richie Havens' second studio album. Released in January 1968, the sound here is more keyboard-heavy than it's predecessor Mixed Bag, but Havens continues in a similar vein with his distinctive smoky voice and thumb-fretted open-tuned guitar. The track "No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed" is propelled by Warren Bernhardt's percussive electric piano and was later reworked by Yes on their second album, Time and a Word. "Inside of Him" and "Sugarplums" are ballads featuring the flute of Jeremy Steig, and "The Klan" and "Run Shaker Life" are similar in style to "Handsome Johnny," the Woodstock show-stopper.
